About Robert Tiffin

Robert’s Career…

Robert Tiffin started his career in the building industry over forty five years ago as a Quantity Surveyor working for large national companies. It was during this time that Robert gained his vast construction experience. After many years Robert decided it was time to join the family business. Bringing with him his valuable building knowledge, Robert was able to take the business to the next level to encompass all building services and not just the damp and dry rot preservation services that Tiffin had become known for.

More recent years…

Robert Tiffin has qualified as a certified thermographer which uses thermal imaging to help identify building defects. This has been a real asset to the business and especially our clients’ properties. He has also studied at CORE to obtain a diploma in retrofitting. Retrofitting is the application of new techniques and materials to older buildings to help save energy.  Following on from this Robert is now a Retrofit Coordinator with the Retrofit Academy. He is also on the London Board of the FMB (Federtion of Master Builders). Both of these positions allow Robert to learn of valuable changes within the industry. Robert attends regular training courses run by the Green Register and the FMB.

By always seeking to broaden his knowledge, Robert is able to advise his clients’ in the best possible way. Robert’s specialist knowledge, down to earth and practical approach allows him to find the ideal solutions to any building problem.

Robert has a particularly strong interest in the defect repair and modernisation in new, old and listed buildings. This is a specialist area that Robert focuses on. It is also an area we are seeing a greater demand for.
