Did you know that the consultation on the definition of zero carbon should end in March?

The English have been going on about zero carbon homes for 20 years now and we have 3 zero carbon homes built, of which 1 is in the grounds of the BRE in Garston.

Well, who has heard of the Germans? (with their great cars and washing machines and tumble dryers) and have you heard of the passwhaus standard? Basically it is airtight well insulated homes with minimal requirements for powering appliances and lights coupled with a degree of solar gain for heating.

Passwhaus standard has been around for 17 years with about 12,000 completions.

A Smooth and Informative Pre-Purchase Survey

I have recently had a pre-purchase survey carried out by Eco Tiffin Ltd. Firstly, the service was so quick and efficient and dealt with highly professionally and without much involvement from me. I needed them to organise key collection and drop-off from the estate agents. The survey was carried out, and the report that followed was very informative and exactly what we needed to know about the damp and timbers in the property. Altogether, very impressed and will definitely recommend Eco Tiffin to any prospective buyers. Very friendly team.
